AWARDS COMMITTEE CHARGE
The BPAA Awards Committee is assembled to assist the BPAA Board of Directors in implementing programs to recognize members and industry leaders who contribute to the growth and betterment of BPAA and the bowling industry. The duties of the Committee are numerous; however, the most prominent of those duties are:
- Considering and reviewing all persons eligible for the Bowling Industry Service Awards including but not limited to the Victor Lerner Memorial Medal and Hall of Fame Award, BPAA’s annual President’s Medal, V. A. Wapensky Award, Special Projects Awards, Ruben A. Dankoff Award for Public Policy and Legislative Service and Proprietor(s) of the Year Awards, which are nominated and submitted by affiliated state associations;
- Developing a time-line and process to ensure equitable review of all potential candidates and a broad-reaching solicitation process;
- Making nominations to the BPAA Board of Directors for approval of the Victor Lerner Memorial Medal recipient;
- Recommendation of additional award recognition programs where warranted.
Board Appointed Committee per Bylaws Section 11.01 – BOARD COMMITTEES. The Board of Directors will have the following Standing Committees: (a) Audit, (b) Awards, (c) Budget and Finance, (d) Governance, (e) Executive Evaluation, and (f) Nominating. The President will appoint committee chairpersons and committee members to serve congruent with President’s term subject to approval of the Board of Directors. The President may also establish additional Standing Committees with Board approval.
