Adding Emails in SmarterMail to the Trusted Senders (White List) List

The following is a step-by-step guide on how to add emails/contacts to your Trusted Senders list (also known as a White List) within the SmarterMail web portal. This is used for when emails/contacts are flagged by the system as spam incorrectly so that you may continue to receive emails from a certain address/contact.


  1. Once logged into SmarterMail, at the bottom left you will see a gear-sprocket icon called Settings. Select this.
  2. Under the My Settings tab, select Trusted Senders.
  3. Select New at the top.
  4. Here you can add the email addresses individual or a whole domain (i.e. @gmail.com, @bpaa.com, etc.), and enter them one per line.
  5. Once you have the email addresses/domains added to the list, click Save at the bottom right.


Please note that it can take anywhere from 24-72 hours or longer for the servers to update and recognize the changes. If after this amount of time a particular email address is still being flagged by system as spam, please contact us for additional help.
