Industry Launches National PR Effort to Promote Emerging Young Stars of Bowling While Also Highlighting Free Four Week Bowling Lessons Available Throughout October via Bowl 2.0 and National Learn to Bowl Month

ARLINGTON, TX – September 22, 2014 – Just in time for National Learn to Bowl Month, GoBowling.com is introducing America to the fresh new faces of bowling. This October, the bowling industry will lead a national PR effort to highlight Gen Y bowling stars who are infusing youthful energy into professional bowling, America's #1 participatory sport. The campaign coincides with National Learn to Bowl Month, an industry-wide effort launched by GoBowling.com and the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) to introduce youth and people of all ages to the sport of bowling. Throughout October, centers across the nation will offer four-week bowling instructional programs to anyone who wants to learn how to bowl.

"In recent years bowling has seen a massive resurgence in popularity and cultural relevance, particularly among Gen Y audiences," said Tom Martino, president of BPAA. "This is even more apparent when you look at the stars that are making up the next generation of pro bowlers, players who are young, athletic and redefining perceptions of what a pro bowler looks like."

Added Martino, "This national PR campaign will helps us create attention for National Learn to Bowl Month, a time when our industry comes together to invite both youth and people of all ages into our centers to enjoy a full month of lessons."

Throughout National Learn to Bowl Month, consumers can sign up at bowling centers nationwide for Bowling 2.0, a comprehensive course that teaches consumers of all ages and levels how to improve their bowling score in just four weeks. The program is comprised of four one-week lessons and teaches novice to amateur bowlers the fundamentals of bowling, including how to pick out the perfect bowling ball and how to maintain the proper posture and foot alignment. For those new to the sport, the guide will teach them how to bowl by working just one or two techniques at a time.
