DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR - MEMBER BENEFITS DEPT.

The Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) is seeking a Member Benefits Department Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination of rhe BPAA music licensing program and the BPAA Insurance program as well as design work on digital menu boards, trade advertisements and other marketing campaigns. Department administrative support, marketing support and coordinating projects as needed will also be required. This position reports to the Director of Member Benefits.


DUTIES

  • Administration of the BPAA Music Licensing Program including invoicing, processing and tracking.
  • Administrative of the BPAA Insurance Program including marketing, some sales and tracking.
  • Design services for menu boards and marketing collateral
  • General assistance to centers in appropriate programs and directing centers to appropriate staff.
  • Enters data into membership database
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by adding value to the mission of BPAA.

  • SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Excel Spreadsheet, MS Suite, PS programs and Membership Data base
  • 10 years of experience in department support environment
  • Design services for menu boards and marketing collateral
  • Minimum of 5 years design experience using PS programs for print ready collateral
  • College Degree preferred; some college courses in design required.

    Director of Managed States

    Position Summary:

    BPAA has an opportunity to join the Membership Team in the position of Direct of Managed States. You will be part of the team from BPAA national providing management services in the role of State Executive Director to various state associations around the country. Currently BPAA provides these services for 11 associations and is growing. While the majority of the time in this position will be spent supporting state associations, this position will also activate BPAA non-member centers around the country as well as assist with yearly renewal of BPAA membership.

    Scope:

    The state executive director is relied upon to lead the state association(s) and its members to accomplish the goals of the association as both management and prime resource to fulfill the agenda put forth by the state board of directors and officers.

    Mission:

    The state executive director will improve the profitability of member centers; increase the public awareness and industryrelevant knowledge of the bowling centers’ staff; manage and represent the business of the state association(s) as directed by the state board and its officers.

    Responsibilites:

    The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Provide management services to each state.
    • Responsible for membership invoicing of all member centers. Identify and develop other opportunities to meet the mission of the association and its members.

    • Produce the member newsletter on a quarterly basis and other member communications as deemed necessary by the board of directors or the executive director.
    • Uphold the bylaws of the association and make the board aware of any transgressions of the bylaws by members.
    • Establish and maintain communication with member centers
    • Maintain and update the association web site.
    • Maintain member statistics database (MemberMax) while keeping members and BPAA aware of information and changes.
    • Coordinate educational opportunities for members at meetings.
    • Identify and recognize achievements, ideas or milestones of member centers.
    • Conduct all financial transactions with monthly reporting and preparing the monthly statement to each President and state treasurer.
    • Implement and executive the initiatives of the BPAA and the board of directors while keeping members aware of these initiatives and all member benefits.
    • Coordinate board meetings, travel arrangements, and annual meeting for member centers and the board of directors.
    • Work in conjunction with the state President and the board of directors to help find guest speakers for meetings.
    • Grow membership when possible, and keep accurate statistics of non-members for association database.
    • Send out mailings and emails to state members.
    • Design of brochures, fliers and meeting books for each state.
    • Travel to every state meeting to be on-site.
    • Take notes at every meeting or conference call.
    • Prepare and process invoices for meetings and state functions.
    • Maintain a call center to notify members and non-members of important events or necessary information within the state.
    • Increase the amount of shared income through BPAA Smart Buy Program.
    • Use Member Max to track all member centers and non-member centers.
    • Visit members and non-member centers and discuss opportunities when visiting the market.
    • Executive detailed plan of upcoming education opportunities for members.

    Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of bowling preferred
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to travel up to 40%
    • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
    • Bowling center work experience a plus, but not required
