Brandon David - Defining the Customer Experience
David Brandon, Director of Athletics at University of Michigan and former chairman and chief executive officer of Ann Arbor-based Domino's Pizza, Inc., delivered a fabulous "Thought Leader" keynote address at the 2012 Bowling Summit in Napa, California where he shared best practices and anecdotes from his more than twenty-five years' experience leading two of America's most prolific brands. "David Brandon is a true visionary who has competed successfully on the biggest playing fields there are — from the hyper-competitive QSR category to leading the legendary University of Michigan sports program. He brought a tremendous range of experience and wealth of knowledge on how to create an incredible customer experience while generating results that build the bottom line," said Steve Johnson, executive director of the BPAA.
Burke Ewers Lime Energy
"Energy conservation and sustainability practices are not only important to helping maintain the environment, but also are an effective way to improve the bottom line for proprietors," said Steve Johnson, executive director for the BPAA. "Burke Ewers brings tremendous insights that couple his expansive knowledge of sustainable practices within the bowling industry." Ewers' "Learning Lab" session was part of the newly revamped education series and conference schedule at the annual Bowling Summit. During his session, Ewers shared valuable insights and case studies of bowling centers that have taken control and proactively managed their utilities. Additionally, tips on how to secure available tax incentives at proprietors' centers was discussed.

Rick Heim - Food & Beverage Trends
Heim's Learning Lab session, helps proprietors better understand how consumers' food and beverage trends directly impact their operations by sharing insights from his more than 30-years of food and beverage and bowling industry expertise. Classically trained at Cornell's Restaurant Management program, Heim presents recent trends in food and beverage consumption outside the home.
