BPAA UNVEILS NEW ENTERTAINMENT CENTER MANAGEMENT SCHOOL
First of Its Kind Program Designed for Non-Traditional Bowling Centers
ARLINGTON, Texas, May 7, 2012 - The Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA), the voice of the bowling industry, announced the addition of the School of Entertainment Center Management (ECM) to its Bowling University program. The unique new school is designed for those who are, or who could become, high-level operation managers in bowling-anchored entertainment centers.
The 6-day, 30-plus hour course will be offered at the International Bowling Campus in Arlington, Texas and will tackle all the complexities in operating centers that also offer a unique combination of attractions, food & beverage service and event hosting.
"When you add this school to our current slate of educational opportunities presented through Bowling University's School For Bowling Center Management and the Online Training and Management Certification program, we feel we've filled a significant void in today's marketplace," said Bart Burger, BPAA's vice president of business development. "This is the first program of its kind designed specifically for the bowling industry."
The School of Entertainment Center Management will include topics such asEntertainment Center Financial Levers, Attractions Operations, Food & Beverage Service & Execution, Group Events Promotion, Organized Play in Entertainment Centers and much, much more. The course also features multiple site visits to some of the best bowling-anchored entertainment centers in the country where students will be able to question operators and owners about their operating best practices.
Complementing BPAA staff, the professional faculty includes successful executives from Namco, TrainerTainment, Brunswick Bowling, Cornerstone Consulting, and Stars & Strikes among others.
The first School of Entertainment Center Management session is scheduled for Sept. 30 - Oct. 5, 2012. There are slots available; however seating is limited.
