Three Bowlers Hit National Strike Challenge Jackpots
ISLAND LAKE, ILLINOIS - For the first time, three bowlers hit the jackpot in David Traber’s National Strike Challenge in the same week. During the week ending November 11, Stephen Vinyard, Jr. from Lincoln, IL as well as Peter Stamiris from Highland, IN and Bob Udseth from Hanover Park, IL all successfully struck in the key strike frames to share the Strike Challenge pot of $1089, part of which had carried over from the previous week, due to there being no winners that week. In addition to striking in the 3rd, 6th and 9th frames of each game, plus the first strike in the tenth frame of their third game, both Vinyard, Jr., bowling at Linn Lanes in Canton, IL and Stamiris, bowling at Olympia Lanes in Hammond, IN continued to strike on their final two shots, earning them each a share of the Super Strike Challenge jackpot of $545. By hitting both pots, Vinyard, Jr. and Stamiris each cashed for $635.50, while Udseth cashed for $363 at Streamwood Bowl in Streamwood, IL. |
