Bill Supper Named as IBPSIA’s Executive Director
ARLINGTON, TEXAS - Bowling Industry Veteran Bill Supper has been promoted to the position of Executive Director for the International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association (IBPSIA), according to the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America (BPAA) who manages the organization. A former PBA Member and well-known in the bowling industry, Bill has been serving as IBPSIA’s Managing Director since joining the BPAA/IBPSIA staff in September 2006. Bill served in many capacities at three major bowling manufacturers including Vice President of Sales for Ebonite International, President of Storm Bowling Products, President of AMF 300 and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Columbia 300; Track International and AMF 300. Supper has a vast amount of domestic and international experience with distributors, pro shops, bowling proprietors and bowlers. He guides membership efforts for both BPAA and IBPSIA as well as overseeing the three state bowling proprietor associations that shifted their administration and management to BPAA. "Bill has been invaluable to IBPSIA," remarked Susie Minshew, IBPSIA President. "His contacts and expertise in the industry and his stellar reputation and integrity serve us very well. So, IBPSIA is very pleased that John Berglund has promoted Bill to the Executive Director position." Bill was also chair of USA Bowling National Bowling Coaches Council, board member for USA Bowling and ABC/WIBC/YABA, the Executive Director of the Billiard and Bowling Institute of America (BBIA) where he also served twice as President. He is also a lifetime Silver Certified USA Bowling Coach and a member of the Bowling Writers Association of America.
