Please be aware that receipt of this communication is NOT confirmation that you have received affected product. This correspondence has been distributed as a courtesy to Sysco customer corporate contacts as a notification of a general recall/withdrawal/hold situation. If the unit locations received affected product, they will be contacted by the Sysco Operating Company that services them. If any one of your locations purchased this item(s), regardless of distributor, it is recommended that you check your inventory for affected product.
THIS PRODUCT IS A REPORTABLE FOOD.
Sysco Quality Assurance received notification that RICH’S is conducting a product RECALL of Fresh ‘N Ready® Pizza Crusts. The products in question were produced between April 29, 2011 (Julian Code 77001119) – June 10, 2011 (Julian Code 77001161) and bear the following product codes: 03604, 06642, 07366, 07367, 07386, 07945, 08012, and 08848..
The reason for the RECALL is product may have been contaminated with a foreign material (small metal fragments). Rich’s has begun an immediate investigation and has determined that the issue originated at the ingredient supply stage.
