BPAA and Bowling Loses A Dear Friend, Leader and Colleague
It is with deep sadness that BPAA announces the passing of C. C. Bearden, longtime BPAA member proprietor, BPAA President from 1976-78 and BPAA Hall of Fame member. It was during Bearden's presidency that the first informal talks on youth unification began. Bearden advocated the unification idea because he believed, as did many others, that the future of bowling depended on the young bowlers. C. C. was a mentor to many, a great leader that will be missed by the entire bowling industry. No further details are known at this time. BPAA will send out another notice once more information is received. BPAA and its Board of Directors send their deepest sympathies to his wife Jo and the entire Bearden family.
